Dear SpiderAlex!

We spent a little time on the repository this afternoon, slowly discovering many things and making small changes.
The largest is that we made some changes to the css (see themes > configuration > Custom CSS. You can easily change it back, but we like it a lot. There happen to many images with transparent background, they look great on the yellow: https://repository.anarchaserver.org/picture.php?/449/category/7

With Benjamin we found out how to change the about page, but maybe it is easier to keep linking to the description on the anarchaserver. We added that link in configuration > options https://repository.anarchaserver.org/admin.php?page=configuration Benjamin looked into the files and saw that there are several 'about.html' pages, so we edited the ones in English ( UK and GB). We mainly tried to copy the text that you've used to describe the repository from other pages, but we added a few joints in the copy pastings. If it doesn't work for you, please let us know and we'll try to ch

We also added new content (images and video) and renamed some images; renamed some albums and added cover images. Nothing wild but it starts to come alive for us.

Anyhow, there are five new webmistresses now so we will keep thinking with the repository and hope to get back to it at another crossing.

ABOUT
"A Virtual Machine as a Repository for feminist images, sounds and videos
Container repository : Piwigo for images, sounds and video  https://repository.anarchaserver.org/ documentation https://anarchaserver.org/mediawiki/index.php/Repository "

Proposal (draftiest of drafts)
repository.anarchaserver.org is a repository for feminist images, sounds and videos curated by Anarcha server and feminist friends . It provides a means to archive the collective memories of Anarcha server, a feminist server wh ose aim is to develop autonomous infrastructure on the Internet for feminists ' projects. Anarchaserver is an open project, even though moderated, and we are using different mailing lists and an IRC channel to coordinate the several tasks that need to be achieved. If you want to get involved, we made different Channels of communication.

aloha dears

all what you are proposing sounds perfect, also adding new materials of
course would be great

i have not yet made the work of adding sources to women and computer
sciences, i need time to do it

i feel it is difficult to plan ahead folders encompassing the different
dimensions i range under gender and tech and also under cyberfeminisms,
so would be curious about your own ideas, moreover if the repo expands
and more people and collectives use it for uploading memories, it is
more a general question

in general work on css, or taxonomy, or anything you comment is great,
please jump into it

long story short, thanks for being there and enjoy yourselves, let me
know if you need anything else from me

Dear SpiderAlex!

How are you?! We're here with a few tech-feminists gathered at Networks
with an attitude*. Marte and Benjamin just made us a nice introduction
to Anarchaserver and we thought we might contribute to the
milestones/to-do-list linked to the repository https://repository.anarchaserver.org . We can contribute an afternoon of
collective work on Friday 12 April. There will be probably 4-5 people in
the same room and that could for example start with an update of the https://repository.anarchaserver.org/about.php do image sources, add new
material, fine-tune the css etc. etc. We bring together skills in
editing, image-research, web-design and sysadmin work. We feel excited
about doing that, but also a bit shy about jumping in. What would be the
best way to go about this. Benjamin could make us a user, but it would
be nice to hear from you how best to help and what is the most urgent task.
